Project Description

Hong Kong Countryside Foundation (HKCF) is carrying out the Sustainable Lai Chi Wo project including farm revitalization and community formation, to encourage original village life. Youth hostel is being renovated from Hakka village house to let visitors enjoy the living in the village.

EWB-HK acting as engineering supporter on this project has conducted field investigation and river cleansing services in January 2020 to alleviate the flooding by restoring the river capacity. Some revitalization works along river and study on impacts/benefits on river-dependent biodiversity will be planned
