About us

Objectives

The objectives of Engineers Without Borders (Hong Kong) are:

• To provide engineering and technical support to disaster-relief and development agencies;
• To support the pursuit for sustainable communities, with particular focus on alleviating poverty and reversing environmental degradation;
• To build capacity and increase the level of preparedness of Hong Kong engineering and built environment professionals in responding to the needs of disaster-stricken and disadvantaged communities;
• To set up and maintain the “Register of Humanitarian Engineers and Professionals” in Hong Kong.
• To provide engineering and technical supports to local charity organizations and humanitarian organizations.

• We are meeting the UN Millennium Development Goals;
• We are endorsing the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights;
• We are endorsing the Earth Charter.
